For my birthday Laura surprised me with a trip to San Diego, to visit our friends the Darbys. We had a wonderful weekend. As a matter of fact, the San Diego Padres somehow found out that it was my birthday, and in my honor, had an awesome firework show after their humiliating loss to the Reds.
The weather in San Diego was fantastic. We have been running here in Phoenix in the mornings along an irrigation canal in 80 degree weather. It was a nice change to run along the coast, with a cool breeze and a wonderful view.
Aside from the baseball game and running along the beach we also had time to take in the world famous San Diego Zoo. Laura has been a handful ever since we got back from the zoo. I can not quite tell what it is, but I think that she may have spent too much time at the Monkey cages.
