Aside from the race we were also able to spend time with two of my siblings and their families. We do not get to see them often enough. We timed our trip pretty well. We got to meet the newest member of the Wilde clan, Emilee, who was born in March. She was very welcome by Rachel, and the four boys. Now she can stop dressing up the boys in girls clothes when Gordon is at work.

Helvetia Half
We did it! On June 14th Laura and I competed in our first half marathon. I use the word "competed" very loosely. Perhaps it would be better to say that we participated. We finished 1635th and 1639th out of 2607 "participants". It was a great adventure. The cool Oregon weather was another welcome change to the Phoenix heat. We were planning on running in 12 min miles but we finished with an average of about 11:09. This shocked us since we had been training on completely flat roads and the race itself had numerous large and long hills throughout.
