It was so much fun to be with the family in Portland for so long. It's so nice to start feeling as close to my in-laws as I do to my own siblings. Thanks to all the Portland family for making it a great trip! It was especially fun hanging out with the girls!

My New Friend
So, Carolyn has been my niece for 2 years now, but I just spent a week with her mom, Keren, and we became great friends. We played together, sang together, tickled each other, and watched Elmo. She fell asleep in the car on the way to the airport the day I left, so we didn't get the best good-bye. Well, apparently she misses me because on Sunday her dad asked if she wanted to call her Grandma that day and she said "Wa-wa" - which is Carolyn speak for Laura. How sweet! I'm so glad we're friends.

Cute blog! And darling little girl (Carolyn)! I looked through all of your picture albums on Picasa. SO GOOD!!! You are super talented and have a great eye for impressive shots. My favorites were Bekah's bridals and the shots of the Provo Temple. You really are so good! If you ever want to practice more... Greg and Emma and I are always available. :):)
