"...Heaven, I'm in Heaven, and my heart beats so that I can hardly speak... and I seem to find the happiness I seek, when we're out together dancing cheek to cheek..."
So, as a Valentine's present, Joseph got tickets for us to attend the Y Ball on Saturday. I had not been to a BYU dance in all of my time here, and I'm pretty sure Joseph hadn't either, so we were not quite sure what to expect. The description online said it was a semi-formal dance providing an opportunity for the married BYU students and their spouses to come and enjoy a carefree evening of excellent food, music and dancing, encouraging the values of marriage and a lifetime of courtship.
This turned out to be one of my favorite dates ever. Joseph and I got to dress up (I love dates when we have a reason to dress up), and Joseph even picked a tie to match my dress (which was pink and black... what a sweet guy!) There was good food (catered by Kneaders, our favorite sandwich place) and a live band. We loved dancing to the live band. It was so much more fun than just dancing to contemporary music played by a DJ. They played music from the big band era, as well as some contemporary stuff. It was so much fun. We had a great time talking, laughing and singing to eachother as we danced. Thanks, Honey! It was such a wonderful evening!"...Heaven, I'm in heaven, and the cares that hung around me through the week seem to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak, when we're out together dancing cheek to cheek..."

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. That is so thoughtful of your hubby.
That sounds so fun! You gotta love a romantic evening with your honey! I agree, it is way fun to have an excuse to dress up!
Oh how fun! You guys look so cute. I love getting dressed up too! And I think we must have been friends in heaven, because I always have song lyrics running through my head too!
HOW FUN!!
How nice, that was one thing I wish Chris and I did while we were there. I'm impressed with the tie.
Joseph's kind of a softie, ain't he?
