Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was lots of fun. Joseph and I had breakfast together, then he worked on his thesis and I went to lunch with an old roommate. It was so fun to get back in touch and catch up with her. Anyway, when I got home, Joseph and I spent the rest of the day together. We worked on a puzzle and listened to the Count of Monte Cristo. (We started listening to that book on our Christmas road trip to Portland.) Then, Joseph made me a beautiful dinner. I think it was the best Valentine's Dinner we've had together. He made stake with a sweet pepper topping, potatoes with butter and rosemary, King Crab chowder and a spinach salad. We ate way too much food, but it was so delicious, we couldn't help our selves. Calories don't count on holidays anyway, right? Thanks to Costco for providing the steaks, and the ready made soup and salad... and the beautiful dozen red roses Joseph gave to me. After dinner we watched Pride and Prejudice. It was a lovely evening. I'm grateful to have such a wonderful husband!

Wow! That looks so gourmet- maybe even better than the Kneaders we had earlier in the day. Glad we could catch up on life.

I didn't know Joseph was such a chef! Looks like it was a good meal and sounds like a good night.
