Happy Easter!

Easter has been wonderful this year. Today was fully of family, friends and worshiping our Savior. We started our day by singing in the ward choir during our Easter Program. It is always a wonderful experience to sing testimony of our Savior. We owe so much to Him, and do not always remember Him as often as we should. I am grateful for this day when the whole Christian world focuses on the resurrection of our living Redeemer.

Although the Easter Bunny didn't make a trip to our house,
it was clear that he had made it to everyone else's home in our ward. I swear, all the kids must have had candy for breakfast because they were bouncing off the walls and having tantrums all during nursery. We usually have one or two, but everyone?!? That was a little obnoxious. It was one of those moments that I was happy to pass all of the kids back to their own parents and go home to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Then, it was off to our friend's house for a little semi-Alaska-reunion where we enjoyed great food and great company. We watched the kids have an easter egg hunt, and then the adults got to play boccie together. If you haven't played that before, you are missing out. It is great fun. We played until it was dark outside just like when we were kids. And yes, the boys did win. Someone who shall remain nameless thought I should mention that "Boys Rule and Girls Drool" but, having said that, the girls did give the guys a little run for their money in the second round. Guys were ahead 8 - 3, but then girls got the score back up to 8 - 7 before the guys won the game. We hope your Easter was as much fun as ours!

Our Easter sacrament meeting was full of loud kids too. So ironic - you hope it will be reverent and uplifting so that the visitors will have a good experience, but their kids are not used to church at all.

Hooray! I just found your blog! This is fun. That's great that you guys teach nursery. I think Tyson's nervous we're about to get that calling. We're gonna need 4 nurseries by the end of the year, and we're struggling finding people who are willing to do it. I half-joked with the bishopric last week that we'd do it for the snacks and etc and now we have a meeting with the bishop this Sunday. Uh-oh! :o) If we get that calling, we'll have to swap ideas!
